If you’ve ever found yourself thinking: “I just need a few more sales before I invest in the next level of support”… you’re not alone.
It’s a conversation I’ve been having with spiritual entrepreneurs for years. Women who know they’re ready to grow, ready to scale their spiritual business, ready to step into their next level… but who feel like they need a little more cash flow first.
So today I’m sharing the three reasons you might not be making the sales you want right now and what you can do this week to start turning that around.
Because often the sales you want are much closer than you think – you just need to know which levers to pull.
So let’s get into it.
1. Your Messaging Isn’t Speaking to the Transformation
One of the biggest messaging mistakes I see is leading with the inclusions of your offer rather than the transformation.
People aren’t buying your offer for what’s included in it. They’re buying because of the transformation – the result, the outcome.
So ask yourself: are you being clear on the outcomes? Are you speaking to the desire your offer helps them achieve?
This is especially important in the spiritual space where we often sell intangible outcomes like “confidence” or “clarity”. But the real question is: what does that confidence or clarity allow them to do?
Be specific. Speak to the situation your ideal clients find themselves in as a result.
Your messaging needs to connect the work you do to the result your client actually wants – and why they shouldn’t delay making it happen.
2. It’s Not Clear How People Can Buy From You
The second reason you might not be making the sales you want is because it’s not easy for people to buy from you.
If someone lands on your Instagram, is it clear what offers you’re selling and how they can work with you?
I’ve audited more than 20 Instagram accounts recently and this is one of the biggest issues I see – unclear messaging, no call to action, or no obvious next step.
If someone has to go digging around to figure out how to work with you, you’re making it hard for them to buy.
Your job is to make that path simple and obvious.
3. You’re Not Making Enough Invitations
The third reason you’re not making the sales you want is because you’re simply not selling enough.
Even if you think you are.
Often clients feel like they’re talking about their offer all the time – but when they actually look back at their content, emails and stories, they realise they’re not selling as often as they thought.
So look at the last month.
How many times have you talked about your offer?
How many times have you invited people into the next step?
Because if you’re not making the invitation, people can’t say yes.
Simple Sales Strategies You Can Use This Week
There are always levers you can pull in your business to make more sales — you just need to know what they are.
First, look at your low-hanging fruit.
Who are your warmest leads?
Who are the last people who enquired about working with you?
Which past clients would you love to work with again?
Who is engaging with your content or clicking links in your emails?
Make a list of your warmest leads and reach out to three of them with a personalised message. Share that you have an offer you believe would be perfect for them based on what you know about them, and ask if they’d like more information.
Then tomorrow, reach out to three more.
Make this the first thing you do in the morning. Sales tasks like this are easy to procrastinate on, but when you prioritise them early you build momentum quickly.
And don’t forget to follow up. Track your leads and conversations so you know who you’ve reached out to and who needs a nudge.
Another simple strategy is what I like to call “shaking the tree.”
Put your offer out in front of your audience and invite people to step forward.
You might run a poll on Instagram stories identifying ideal clients for your offer, or send a short email inviting people who want a specific outcome to reply “YES” for more information.
The goal is simple: build energy around your offer and give people the opportunity to raise their hand.
Because sometimes the fastest way to make more sales is simply to start more conversations.
The Sales You Want Are Likely Closer Than You Think
If the sales you want aren’t coming through right now, start with the fundamentals.
Look at your messaging.
Look at your customer journey.
Look at how often you’re actually selling.
Then take proactive sales action.
Follow up with warm leads.
Invite people into your work.
Put your offer in front of your audience and start the conversations that lead to sales.
Because when these pieces come together – your messaging, your strategy, your sales process and your energy – you create the kind of momentum that leads to consistent cash flow and sustainable business growth.
