Life Update: Second Trimester + The Habits Keeping Me Grounded During This Season of Life & Business

I’m officially 30 weeks pregnant, and it’s wild to think how quickly this year has flown!
As I head into the third trimester, I’ve had a lot of questions from my community about how I’m navigating this season – running a business, raising little ones, and growing a baby all at once.
So I’m sharing what the second trimester has really looked like for me – from the honest behind-the-scenes of life and business to the habits I’ve anchored into to feel grounded and supported.
This isn’t just a pregnancy update, it’s a reflection on how I’ve moved through this big season – with full days, big feelings, stretchy growth and deep trust.
Whether you’re also pregnant, in the thick of motherhood, scaling your business, or moving through your own life transition – I hope this gives you insight, inspiration, and a few things to take with you on your journey.
A Full Season of Life, Business & Baby Prep
This trimester has been full – Noah started school, lots of travel, three weddings, toilet training a toddler, and navigating it all while pregnant and running a business.
There’s been a lot on, but I know this stretch is preparing me for what’s to come. People’s eyes widen when I say we’re having a third boy – there’s always joy there, but also a hint of “good luck with the chaos!”
And yes, life with three boys will be big and messy – but I trust in myself, in Matt, and in our partnership to hold it all. As my mum says, “it’s a beautiful mess” – and I really believe that.
The Habits Supporting Me Right Now
I’ve been really intentional about my habits this trimester. Here’s what’s been helping:
Movement – but make it gentle.
After barely moving in first trimester (because I felt so unwell and tired), I set a goal to walk 4 mornings a week. That worked beautifully until the cold, dark winter mornings set in – so now the goal is simply to move in some way each day. I’m loving Pregnancy and Postpartum TV on YouTube for stretching and yoga when walks aren’t happening.
Meditation – in bed or in the shower.
I’ve never been a 100%-consistent meditator, but lately I’m proud of the rhythm I’ve found. I use Insight Timer and meditate 3-4 mornings a week – either before the kids wake or while I’m in the shower (which is honestly magic).
Monthly money dates.
Matt and I have started a ritual inspired by the She’s On The Money Podcast – monthly money check-ins with pasta once the boys are in bed. It’s become one of my favourite nights of the month and is already shifting things in our finances and relationship.
What’s Been Happening Behind the Scenes in Business
Second trimester is typically the energetic sweet spot of pregnancy, so I made the most of it.
I was really intentional about what I wanted to create during this time – and while not everything happened on the timeline I’d planned (some projects were pivoted or pushed back), it’s still been a really expansive season.
Some highlights:
Content refresh.
Earlier this year, I felt stagnant with social media. With support from my coach and content manager, I revamped my strategy. The focus was consistency and intentionality – and while growth wasn’t the goal, we’ve seen it anyway, which is a lovely bonus.
A wildly successful workshop.
I ran the Spiritual Business Scale workshop a couple of weeks ago and it was a big win – over 70% live show-up rate, incredible replay engagement, and feedback that showed this work really resonated with my community. It was also part of a bigger experiment to play more in business this year – my word for 2025 – and try new funnel and offer strategies. Something I am taking with me into my post-mat leave planning.
Opening the final 2025 intake of the Mistressmind.
This is what I’ve been building towards all trimester – and we’re down to the final 5 spots. This special 9-month round of the Spiritual Business Mistressmind includes 6 months of support with me, and 3 months with the incredible Tahryn Bolt while I’m on maternity leave.
If you’re ready to grow your business in a way that aligns with your life and values, this is the container for you. You can apply here or book a free 30-minute strategy call with me to discuss your goals, map out your next steps and see if the Mistressmind is the right fit for you.
Creating A Business That Supports Your Life
This season has reminded me (again!) that we are allowed to build businesses that support our lives, not the other way around.
It’s not always neat or easy. But with the right habits, support and mindset, you can hold what matters most.
I hope this has given you a little insight into my world right now – and maybe a few ideas or gentle reminders to take into your own big season.
