Mid Year Reset: How To Re-Anchor Your Business Goals For The Second Half Of The Year

Can you believe we're almost at the midway point of the year? 2026 has absolutely flown, and if you feel like you've blinked and missed it – same.

But here we are. And the midpoint of the year is a great opportunity to check in on the goals you set back in January, and take a moment to pause, reflect, and reset. To figure out what's working, what you want to leave behind, and what you're committing to for the second half.

This is the exact process I work through every mid-year — and today I'm sharing it with you.

Before You Begin: Create A Sacred Space

Before I take you through the steps, I want to talk about how to actually do this work.

My recommendation? Make it a really juicy, enjoyable experience. Take yourself to your favourite café, go to the beach, light some candles at home — whatever feels the most lush for you. Because we want to make this a sacred experience. We want to make this something that feels really good.

Step 1: Reflect And Celebrate What You've Already Achieved

As business owners, we often do not take enough time to acknowledge what we've created and done. We tick things off the list and move on without really celebrating that win. So before anything else: think back over the first six months of 2026. What are you most proud of? What are you celebrating?

Write it down and take a moment to actually feel it.

Step 2: Review Your Goals With Curiosity, Not Self-Judgement

Go back and look at the goals you set at the start of the year. How are you tracking?

If you're not as far along as you'd like to be, I want you to come to this process from a place of curiosity. Not self-judgement. We often have grand plans at the start of the year, and it's okay if things have evolved and changed. Sometimes those goals are no longer in alignment, or perhaps you just haven’t been prioritising them.

This is your opportunity to get really honest with yourself. Why haven't you moved on your goals yet? What have you been prioritising over them? How are you recommitting to them moving forward?

Step 3: Recommit To Your Goals

We’ve got six months left of 2026. That is so much time. So much can happen in six months.

What do you want to achieve in the second half of 2026? Get really clear on what it actually looks like, and spend some time visualising it and connecting to that future version of yourself who has created those results, who is looking back at the end of December feeling genuinely proud.

Step 4: Create A Clear Plan For What Comes Next

The final step is to map out a clear plan of action. Especially if you have goals you haven't progressed much yet.

Write down every single action step you can think of. Chunk it right down so the steps are more manageable and you know exactly what you need to do next. Let's make it easier to actually do what you need to do to achieve your goals.
