What does it really look like to launch in a season of transition?
Not the glossy, perfectly-executed version – but the grounded, strategic kind that creates income, builds momentum, and honours your capacity.
This was my final live launch before maternity leave and today I’m sharing the full debrief.
Because here’s the truth most business coaches won’t tell you – sustainable success isn’t built on big wins alone. It’s built on smart strategy, long-game thinking, and the ability to make your business work for you, no matter what season you’re in.
If you’re craving more consistency in your income… if you want a business that grows without relying on you 24/7… if you’ve ever wondered how to create launch results that last well beyond the cart close date – this one’s for you.
I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing exactly how I added $25k of recurring revenue to the business prior to taking 3 months off for mat leave. I’ll be sharing what worked, what didn’t, what I’ve learnt and why I’m still calling this launch a win – even though I didn’t hit my revenue goal.
What Made This Launch Different
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and preparing to take time off from August to October. So this launch wasn’t just about enrolling new clients into the Spiritual Business Mistressmind, it was also about setting things up to run smoothly while I step away.
I wanted to:
Make sure my clients were supported
Keep income flowing
Ensure my team was resourced
Take time off and actually rest
My original goal? 6 new clients and $65k in sales.
Here’s what actually happened:
1 new Mistressmind client
1 current Mistressmind client re-signed for another 9 months
3 one-off 1:1 packages sold
Total: $25k in recurring revenue.
Not the number I set out to hit – but still a massive win.
Because beyond the sales, this launch brought:
Financial stability heading into mat leave
A primed, engaged audience
Hot leads and great sales convos
Clear confirmation my messaging is landing
This is what it looks like to build a business for the long term.
What Worked Well In This Launch
1. The Paid Workshop Funnel
This was the first time in a while that I led into a launch with a paid workshop. And honestly, I loved it. I ran the “Spiritual Business Scale” Workshop for $49 AUD and had 25 women sign up. Over 70% showed up live, which is almost unheard of in the current market, and the energy inside was incredible.
The workshop wasn’t just about delivering value – it was a highly engaged space that allowed me to connect with new and existing audience members on a deeper level. Most were already warm leads from my email list or Instagram, but a few had never connected with me directly before, making this the perfect entry point.
At the end, I pitched the Mistressmind and invited participants to book a free 30-minute strategy call. Off the back of the workshop, three calls were booked and one converted directly. I also personally followed up with every attendee and replay viewer – deepening conversations, building trust, and getting a clear sense of who’s ready to work with me now or in the near future.
2. Free Strategy Calls
These calls were such a valuable part of this launch. Over the four-week period, I held ten 30-minute free strategy calls and each one was gold.
They weren’t just sales calls – they were deep, honest conversations that helped me understand where women in my audience are at, what they’re navigating, and how I can best support them.
These calls created connection, clarity, and most importantly, relationships that will continue to grow even while I’m on leave. This is what I mean when I talk about planting seeds that bloom later.
3. Relationship Building + Future Momentum
One of the biggest wins from this launch was the future potential. So many women said, “I am so excited to work with you in future.”
By prioritising deeper connection – through the workshop, the calls, and personalised follow-up – I now have a pool of warm, engaged leads who are primed for future offers. This kind of relationship-building creates momentum that lasts well beyond the launch period. Especially important in a season where I’m preparing to pause, rest, and return with ease.
Launch Lessons & Reflections
1. I could have planned earlier: With baby prep and business to juggle, some things happened on the fly and we weren’t as organised as we usually are. We got it done, and I’m so grateful for my team and the systems we’ve built. But ideally, I’d give us a bit more breathing room next time around.
2. Don’t underestimate the non-buyers: This launch surfaced so many warm leads who didn’t sign on now, but are genuinely interested in working together later. Every “not right now” is still valuable, and some of those women will be first in line when I’m back.
3. Redefining success: A few years ago, not hitting my launch goal would have meant that I’d need to turn something else around pretty quickly. Now? I’ve built a business that’s not dependent on any single launch. I’ve got recurring revenue, ongoing client relationships, and the spaciousness to step away without stress. That’s the kind of freedom I want every woman in business to have.
The Upshot?
This launch delivered exactly what I needed: revenue, relationships, aligned clients, and long-term sustainability.
And I’ve set myself up to take a full 3-month maternity leave knowing my clients are supported, my team is resourced, and my business is still bringing in income.
Let this be your reminder: Sustainable success isn’t built in one launch. It’s built with consistency, intention, and the courage to play the long game.
